With learned hopelessness, for many, especially the younger generations, the contradiction between expectation and reality becomes untenable. With a new imaginary consolidated in the working classes and the promises of social mobility through effort and dedication to work collapsed, for several, there is no option but to seek other avenues to obtain what the world of images continuously showcases.
